You Can't

This is a collection of people telling me (us) I can't do something.

Some wise person once told me that the way to ensure that you will do something is to find someone that tells you that you can't.

Names should probably be changed to protect the ignorant.

1)  Jennifer and I were sitting around the table at my dad's house.  A lot of the family had traveled down for a large family gathering and we had some of his friends from Michigan visiting.   As things are, for some reason, things usually tend to slide toward sailing and the water.   I was telling a story about Douglas Bernon on Ithika and his adventures swimming with whale sharks.  Here is the story.  While talking about how cool it would be to be in the wild watching the largest fish in the world swim by eating plankton she chimed in, chirping, with this indignant look on here face "you can't do that you'll be crushed."  The worst part was how serious she was.  I quickly handed her her sign.

2)  I have lost count of how many people tell me I can't sail around the world because of pirates.  See the FAQ
